Gavin Woodford Dip Arch BA Hons RIBA
Gavin founded Woodford Architecture + Interiors after building up a remarkable portfolio of expertise and experience over the past 17 years working with renowned practices such as Sir Norman Foster and Partners, Anouska Hempel Designs and MMM Architects.
Born in Malawi to a British father and Chinese Caribbean mother, Gavin’s childhood was spent in the Caribbean and South East Asia before moving to the UK for his education. This multicultural upbringing has helped shape his understanding of the diverse cultural influences that shape our world, and has given him a varied portfolio of inspiration for his design work.
Gavin has worked hard to build a reputation for the design of exquisite bespoke buildings, both in the UK and abroad. In Devon and Cornwall Gavin has worked prolifically designing classic family homes, timeless barn conversions, contemporary riverside boat houses, live and work business parks, and eco hotels.
Gavin is particularly interested in combining high quality contemporary design with sustainable and environmentally responsible architecture. He has a real passion for materials, which he uses creatively and imaginatively to design spaces and places that are original and individually tailored to suit each client's exacting needs.
